Would you stay away from this home?

Going to look at this home tomorrow... http://www.cincymls.com/displaylist.asw?li...77300&mls=cincy

Utility bill $ 185/month over a 12 month average, High of $338

This is NOT gas, it has ELECTRIC BASEBOARD HEATING

Baseboard can work... but damn $200/month average

Edit: it's actually 185

Is that average for your area? How old is the home? Maybe it's time to replace the heating/cooling?

I'd stay away. I like the other house you posted. What happened with it?

Sorry, the bill is actually $185 per month

There are 2 homes this one and another one... the other one has additional 1% tax

This one looks nice from the outside, looks big.. and good price.. also, much newer than the other one, worth a look.

Electric heating will always be prohibitively expensive. If it were me I'd look for a place that has a more cost-effective solution (like the natual gas they've advertised).

Hehe, dunno if it's cuz I'm jaded over cost of living in the San Francisco Bay area.... my parent's house electricity bill ran from $150-$500 per month, at least when I was paying their bill for them when I lived with them. My electricity bill for my 1 bdrm apartment runs between $50-85 a month, and that's with a cheaper municipality-run electricity company instead of the greedy PG&E bastages.
