Interestingly enough the top 3 candidates aren't even mentioned in that article.
My daughters boss (who will have to remain anonymous) is on the short list.
George Hamilton and John O'Hurley have been off the list for some time now.

I heard Mario Lopez turned down an offer of $20million to host the show. Don't know why he turned it down as we will fade to obscurity in a few years. I think Bob Barker wants Rosie to purposely fail so he can go down in history as the host to the "Price is Right" friend or not.

I can't see how the producers could ever let someone like Rosie take over the show. It's supposed to be "quality family entertainment", and she's just too controversial for the audience that the show hits. If she does get it, I see the show dieing a fairly quick death.
