there's another guy (minus Chinese-ness and chunky-ness) that sings at a high pitch. I think his name is Nick Pitera or something like that.

Honestly, he's a relatively bad singer. His notes are often flat and/or harsh. Sure, he's better than a lot of people at singing like Whitney but he's nowhere near a "good" singer in that vocal range. He's probably nervous and could do better in a dedicated studio with just him and a soundtrack but still, not exactly world class or anything.

He's a kid, and probably has not had much, or if at all, professional training. Give him time and training and his voice will blossom into real talent. As is, he is already very very good; also, singing in a non-native language is rather hard too.

I think some of you guys are comparing the kid to Whitney's prime. When she was in her prime, she was no doubt a beast on records and live. Don't get me wrong, given her latest album, she still have that vocal range and sounds great....in the music booth. But have you guys heard any of her "latest" live singing? She's constantly out of breath and needs to rely on the backup singers. Put this kid in the recording booth. I wanna see. Gotta compare apples to apples here guys.

..or he'll hit puberty, lower his voice a full octave, and be just like the rest of us. Just chunkier.
