WTF?
Just got this email in my junk email folder:
Dear PayPal valued account holder,
We recently noticed one or more attempts to log in your PayPal account from a foreign IP address and we have reasons to believe that your account was hijacked by a third party without your authorization.
If you recently accessed your account while traveling, the log in attempts may have initiated by you.
However if you are the rightful holder of the account, click on the link below and submit, as we try to verify your account.
Please click here to login into your PayPal account and then fill in the required informations. This is required for us to continue to offer you a safe and risk free environment.
The log in attempt was made from:
IP address: 128.232.110.18
ISP host: shalmaneser1.al.cl.cam.ac.uk
If you choose to ignore our request, you leave us no choice but to temporally suspend your account.
We ask that you allow at least 48hrs for the case to be investigated and we strongly recommend not making any changes to your account in that time.

nothing new...always check the header (can be faked? not sure) and url links (as far as i know, the mouse-over link can't be faked) to make sure those kinds of emails are legit. most often they're not.
If you have an account with paypal they contact you with your name not "Dear paypal customer". Paypal has a link on their site where you can forward them this email and they do God know what with it.
ya, it is funny how many "phishing" attempts people try.
i just had a guy on ebay win one of my auctions and tell me he would send me a cashiers check for the cost plus some extra that I was to refund to the trucking company via western union...ahahha... that is about a 10 year old scam.....
Scammers need to think of new scams..... or maybe these actually work? i guess if they work on 1 in 1000 people they are good for the day.?

Scot, I saw a talk show a while back where a guy had recieved one of those where you are the relative of some one with big bucks and they need you to collect the cash.... his wife was threatening to leave him because she saw it and he knew it was a scam and she thought it was for real.
