Saw a video of him shortly after that pic make the internet rounds. He said he has so much time off while on the road, that he decided to start eating right and working out like crazy. He brought a PT on the road with him, etc, and just lifted a lot in his off time. He lulzd at claims of steroids.

But seriously, you could go from skinny **** to ripped badass in a short while.

Look at Christian Bale in The Machinist (2004) compared to Batman Begins (2005) if you want to see a crazy ****ing transformation.
