While i agree that its not a suprise, the machine is doing alot that is still new to people. (meaning developers and microsoft, not the consumer)

So far the problem appears to be hardware related -- which means it's probably the fault of IBM or TSMC, and not Microsoft.

actually no it is 100% the responsibility of Microsoft. No if's no ands no buts.

They are in charge of QA and if the Hardware is bad either their QA process failed or they didn't qualify the hardware before they chose to use it. Like it or not any hardware issue is the responsibility of the box builder. The customers blame you if the hardware doesn't work so you HAVE to test an qualify all your hardware appropriately.

yep. its a M$ xbox.. not a IBM xbox..

same with the psp when ppl tried to blame sanyo for the lcds.. but sony took the hit to replace em..

Yeah, the box says M$ on it! No getting around that. And M$ probably designed the cooling system!

The first sign that this was rushed to market was when M$ was using Power Macs to run the game demos only a few months ago!

Didnt the first Xbox have problems too? There seems to be a history pattern of flaws with Xbox. I may pass on this even though family has bought it for us already. I am going to stick with the PS3..

I thought about that too.. but the PS3 is so far out.. i need something to tide me over for now until then

But ill wait till theres at LEAST 2 xbox 360 games i want before i buy the system.
