XM Radio Satellite Launch
BTW - Several page article on Sea-Launch in this month's Wired Magazine. Have not read it yet. Seems like I spend more time reading car magazines now that I have the s2k. If you would like it scanned I could probably do that for you. Although they probably have the article online.

We are finally here!! 0 degrees, 154 deg West on the dot. The marine crew is beginning operations to ballast the ship down into the water to stabilize us. Takes about 8 hours to do that. Sinks us down 22 meters (72 feet) into the water. We have some preparations for rocket roll-out and then we are doing some shark fishing until tomorrow morning. Usually we have 2 days to fish but since we got here late we only get 1 day this time. The helicopter is shuttling back and forth between the ships swapping crews out for different tests that have to be performed. Place will be going like gangbusters for the next 3 days. Not much sleep in my future.
To see the launch live you have 2 options.
1) The best option is DIRECTV. It will be broadcast live on DTV on channel 361 I beleive.
2) If you don't have DTV or a friend that does you can watch it from our website at http://www.sea-launch.com
Launch is scheduled for 2:30 PM PST on Sunday the 18th. Tune in early for all the pre-launch hype from the bigwigs.
