XM and Sirius get GREEN light...
The FCC finally approved the merger for XM and Sirius.
Reports indicate that current subscribers will NOT have to change radios unless they want specific "pay per channels." I'm assuming these are channels like the Playboy channel?? Anyways, more info here:

I currently have )))XM((( on all 3 of my cars...so I'm hoping the lineup remains the same. I love XM!

I think the pay per channels is their new scheme to allow a la carte purchasing of programming. So you could theoretically buy the Howard Stern Channel, 80s Music and Fred and only pay $x versus having to shell out $10/month for all of their channels.
I have had both and its a toss up. I like Sirius for the Howard channels and The rock channels are better but XM had better dance music and hip hop channels. Glad they got the go ahead. I hope it makes the select that much better.
