Fortunately my wife loves to watch racing.
CART, F1, and even IRL(I just think it's ok)
Before we had the kid she was my crew person.
She is better at reading plugs than I am.
I remember one time at the runoffs in Road Atlanta we were in the Nissan tent at 1am changing the motor and not one complaint and we made it to the grid at 9am.
She was even nominated by some of my competitors for crew chief of the year at the runoffs.
She also crewed one year on a pro FF2000 team changing the gears in the gearboxs.
I've had her working on cars since we first started dating when she was 15. But I think I have burnt her out on racing. No...I know I have

My wife loves me very much, however, I always know something is up if she agrees to go to a meet, car show, or fishing. Yes sir, something is up and she has HIGH maintenance costs
You know your finace loves you when:
1). It's time for her to buy an new car, she buys an S2K even though she wanted a Prelude for its practicality and knows that you have an older one AND knows how impractical the S2K can be.
2). When you spend more time washing, waxing, and personal time on your cars than you do your wife/fiance, and she tries to understand while not getting too upset about it.
3). When she tries to understand your obsession with the automotive world and does and goes to every event you go to, just to try to spend time with you.
4). When you are driving or out at the strip mall and in deep conversation with her, and you stop the conversation and say, "Ooooooh, look a _____[fill in the blank with high end or modified vehicle that takes your fancy]."
5). When you spend so much money on the car, its modifications, and its care, but on a Friday or Saturday night, you choose to stay in and rent movies (rather than taking her out).
and the top reason I see,
6). When you royally fvck up, she gets mad yet understands and still loves you and wants to be with you no matter what.
As much as I love my obsessions, there is NOTHING better than love from a good woman...a great handling S2000 is good, but it's no competition with love from a woman.
