Hope ya stay warm greg! Maybe you can go out to the Stook, open a door, start it up, and let it idle, and turn on the heater FULL, and pretend you're driving in it.

I pretend I'm driving the stook all the time with my Tamiya 1/24 scale model

Greg... I was just outside. OMG it's obscenely cold. Brutal cold. We had to unload some stuff from my pickup... maybe 5 minutes and I couldn't feel my hands. Major frostbite risk. Nice and warmed up now!

I Have often heard about the "lake effect" on national weather programs. I guess that's what you're talking about, Greg.

Yeah proximity to water has a huge effect on temperature. It stays warmer than the air in winter and cooler in summer. If you have enough that is. It acts like a heater heating the air as is passes. I'm surprised you are just noticing this effect greg.

It's currently 56F here by the way, I had to put on a sweater! Well, just a light one
It will be a beautiful topless commute to work tomorrow. I not sure I can take much more sun though, I've been getting sunburn

Greg:
Please keep your damn weather up there. Currently 1 above with 26 below wind chill and snowing. Artic front coming down from Chitown. This is not good when you suffer from arthritis and old age!!

Well it's snowing here and ~25F with wind chills in the single digits. Here I sit in my office watching the snow and listening to my favorite holiday song "Christmas in the Carribean". At least I can imagine that it's warm.
