the portal thing (the white hole) in the top center of the screen, yeah I did, but it just dumps me to the beginning of the maze

I played for 1 hour and my guy got lost inside the building of the face. I tried for like 15 min just hitting random up, down, left, right and he wont come out. GG, going to bed pissed off.
