The assessed values are dead on in my area, but those are only the figures used by the township for property tax purposes. The actual value of the houses is roughly three times the assessed value.
Interesting, though. I see the guy behind me paid $53,000 in property tax last year.

AVM's are a dime a dozen these days.
It shows a bunch of empty land across the street from my house as having houses on it. Nothing's been built there yet and until the old man that owns sells it nothing will be built there. Even then the land is a wetland and can't be built on without getting the MI Dept of Natural Resources involved and they need me to sign off on a variance too because they would have to build it too close to the road. Quite frankly I don't see that happening.
