Dude that will fit easy with 235. You will be fine, just roll the fender a little bit.

I am 17x9.5 +28 so basically 17x9 +22 on a 255/40 and my fender is rolled all the way out and I am slammed.

You will be fine with that 235 tire and you have 4mm more of clearance.

I absolutely love this thread, but I find myself shaking my head when people stretch a 235 in the rear just to fit that wide rim. Sacrificing function for form is a big no in my book.

i agree with running a 235 out back while stock is a 245. Doesn't make sense, thats why I'll be trying to fit a 17x9 22 offset with a 245. I don't even know where to start. Stressing like crazy.. from all my questions and researching, I've pretty much concluded that my 1/4 will cave in lol..

Maybe overfenders? Props for trying to run a more proper tire size though.

it's doable without caving the quarter panels. My friend is running it and has been for months, just haven't posted pics.

You will need around -4.5 camber.

Oh, and stock tires on the AP1 are 225/205. Anyone who continues to pass on the hearsay of the s-02 225 being "as wide as a 245" has never lined it up next to a 245, or even a 235...

Still, I think 245 is a good rear width.

i think when people say that, its the thread width, the S02 225/50/16 is 8.5", depending on the tires you are comparing with, you can check out falken FK452 245/45/17, thread width is only 8.3" comparing to 225/50/16 potenza 8.5" width.

R888 and NT01 is a good example, both exact same size but the R888 goes up 1 size
That's an FK452 though which is known to run narrow. (I love this tire though, haha)

If you compare it to a similar tire, such as the RE050 (oem ap2 tire), which has a 9" tread width, then it's no longer the same.
