If you get the aluminum tube from PRM, it will support the whole intake, and you won't need the clamps to hold it. How'd you end up with only 1/2 of the PRM? It's also pretty easy to get rid of the metal piping that attaches to the valve cover.
I bought just the filter and housing from PRM to save money and to use the stock intake tubing which should insulate from heat better than the PRM aluminum tube. It's only temporary anyway as I'm working on a new carbon intake.

I actually think the metal piping looks better/cleaner than rubber hose. It's more defined. Notice my custom stainless steel T-Body bypass tube near the intake plenum.
