Don't do it. After a while they will fill with oil and start dripping everywhere. Did one on my DSM and it sucked. Prevents oil going back into the intake manifold. If anything take a small fuel filter and put it in line with tubing still connecting it to the intake manifold. Get a see through one so you can empty or replace it when it fills up.
that breather filter is on the fresh air inlet to the valve cover. the oil residue coming out of the valve cover exits through the pcv valve. fyi.
