Offical Engine Bay Thread
here is my PRM intake (pre-supercharger)

the used price of a non-ac supercharger was too good to pass up. so i bumped up to supercharged...

(removed because used non-ac + aftercooler kit + selflube upgrade = cost of brand new supercharger kit, might as well sell the non-ac and straight out buy a new kit rather than building it up for the same cost, NA for now)
here is my new PRM intake (post-supercharger), copied duanet’s theme of black tubing and red canister (I had yellow couplers but I sprayed them black and surprisingly they look good and flex with no flaking)…

Very good my friend. Your bay is the Bee's Knees. Mines too dirty to even post the pic I have. I am going to work on that though soon (header, new battery hold down, and a few ides to clean things up).

Can't wait to see the final result.
Would look even nicer with more polished parts, epecially the intake manifold.
So for people with an optima battery, its yellow and gray, anyone have any solutions to blacking it out? I know my g/f's car (VW Jetta) has a black sleeve, just like a cloth/nylon material that slips around it. I would love to order one to slide around the optima or even make one unless someone has a better idea.
Remember my bay above?
This is my battery story:
Just spray paint it black and that's it.
This is my battery story:
Of course, since I don't want anything that doesn't exactly look like oem, I decided to paint the highend battery in flat black as if it were an oem one.
That's what you get:

Can't believe, alot of guys put it in their cars as it is.
Not me.

much better, isn't it...
Stealth OEM look FTWFW.

I thought about doing that, but that means I have to do it at a time when me S can be down for a day or so to let it dry. I really need a DD. I think I am going to do the same thing to the stock radiator overflow tank, and just remove the windshield washer resevoir and system when I get a chance.

^ People spend money on good quality stuff, regardless of the "performance".
How many people do you know with a CF spark plug cover...or CF door panels, battery tie down....the list is endless.
This tank kit brings the engine bay to more upscale level, instead of the cheap ugly plastic tank.
Looks great L-X!
