I bought the stripe kit from Inlinefour.com back about 3 years ago when I had my del Sol.
see...
So I had accidentally bought 2 stripe kits, for what reason I don't know. But I had an extra one laying around after Mugen decided to get rid of them. And after the accident with the del Sol I vowed to make the S2000 just like the Sol but even better.
I think those Advans you have on your S are pretty damn hot looking too JL. Nice choice, shoot bronze wheels with white, black, and blue look good anyway you make it.
Thanks for noticing, I'll post more next season after pulling it out of the garage from the winter. See ya.
call me insecure but i personally think the pinstriping looks like shit/embarrassing. and i'd rather have a trusty old 4-runner over a del sol any day of the week.
m-type... clean white shot of your car. actually makes the stock 16s look blingy.
white's still my fav color for the s2000, although i'd still pick silver over it. odd.
I know the del Sol isn't for everybody, just like the S2000. But it was becoming quite a fun car to build and enjoy and really, after the engine swap to a B16 and considering the weight reduction it went through, it was really starting to become faster, and then bang!! No more del Sol, stranded 1500 miles away from home, but with friends.
Oh and just because you think the pinstripping "looks like shit", well don't go rubbing it into people's faces. If you don't like it, thats alright, I expect that from some people. But please don't go around dogging someone's work possibly thinking its embarrasing like a ricey-thing or what not. I am not that kind of person. Believe me, I don't hang out with a particular friend anymore because of his beliefs about how immaculate a car should be, particularly his WRX STi, and his wife's oh, dare I say, Mercedes C230. I could care less..........
I'd never put flames or ridiculous graphics all over my car with a big "H" or "Honda" on it. But since I like Mugen's products and development, I chose to have their stripe kit applied to both cars in honor of their products.
And when I get the new paint and body work finished on my Nissan 240SX, I'll be adding a "Nismo" stripe kit to match the numerous Nismo parts on that car as well.
Its just me, I don't want you to become upset, but with all the hard work, patience, and money I've went through over the past 6 years working with both cars, I don't expect someone to say my work looks like shit and is embarassing. Thank you.
