I know very little about the safety 21 equipment, but if you read my post, it was focused on the full cages that these guys are installing. Either way, most and cage/roll bar should padding on it if it's within 10" of your head and especially if you don't wear a helmet.
When it comes to head vs. rollcage, padding won't help. Ideally one should wear an approved helmet for any true protection along with a race-harness. Of course I'm not practicing what I'm preaching

you know what interesting, i was reading back through this thread and read a quote that someone said the cusco 6pt has bends in all the wrong places. comparing the cusco to the saftey, they look the same.

Sure it will, anything will help. I didn't say it was safe, just safer than a raw metal bar to bare skull impact. Point being, a roll cage without 5 pt. harness, helmet, padding, etc. is stupid! You may win a show trophy, but you'll also win brain damage if things go wrong on the drive home.

Heres you "dead weight" safty 21 bar after a 70+ foot fall off the road. It looks like the only part of the car that held up. Notice how none of the bars broke off and hit him in the head, I would say that that works pretty darn good for a "show purpose" roll bar. I know welded bars are better, but you guys really underestimate the cusco/safty21 bars.

WOW!!!!!!!!you are kidding me

woah that does look like S2000GT's car up above. the roll bar held up, but did it actually help this driver from serious harm?
Looking at the pictures, I'd say it did. The stock rollbar (which is the windshield frame) is clearly bent while the rollbar is in good shape. If anything it helped keep his head out from the ground. to the rollbar for that

Hope the guy is ok as well!

Does anybody here have a Carbing roll bar? (I've seen the pics from Bulletproof's website, but still haven't seen pics of one installed in an S2K yet.)
