Thread reserved for "Mugenized" S2000
Yup, started with Mugen 3 pc, then went to Mugen SS, then Voltex, and now on the DC5 Mugen wing.
Mugen 3pc was my favorite, but didn't sit right that I had all the other SS bits and pieces.
Mugen SS nice, but wasn't aggressive enough in aesthetics. I didn't care for the aftermarket risers because with it higher, the proportions of the width against height look/feel odd to me.
Voltex was really nice, but looked too aggressive with the SS build and I had another build that the Voltex would look better on.
Finally decided to give the Mugen DC5 wing a try just before Homecoming. The cord and the span are slightly larger than the S2000 SS wing. With the height of the risers, the proportions are little better. Initially, I was hoping to use the Mugen feet to attach to the trunk lid, but they didn't fit well without too much customization and just looked too bulky on the rear of the S2000. The attachment points to where the risers meet the wing had to be relocated, which ensured that the mounting bases could not be used. Ended up using J's Racing bases to mount the risers to the trunk lid (which was great because no new holes had to be drilled into my original trunk; but did require drilling a couple of new holes into the Mugen risers themselves). I like it, but am not sure if this will be the final wing (or if it is, I may have new risers cut to allow the wing to be mounted an inch or two more forward).

I don't have info on the status of these parts at King Motorsports. MSRP has increased on them too: https://www.kingmotorsports.com/sear...=mugen+hardtop. Intake is $2,100: https://www.kingmotorsports.com/p-13...struction.aspx
