I'm getting a set done in a high-polish finish by a chopper builder....I think that maybe I should have gone more for a look that resembled a machine finish (low polish) now.

Thanks for the compliment although it doesn't come close to either one of yours. Yeah I would paint everything but the vents if I get it. I am thinking maybe ASM hood too though. Don't know which way I want to go yet.
