Ray this is just as funny to read!

Tim it is a different knob (obviously). Thanks for the compliments. I only drive it good weather and for some reason this car is very easy to keep clean.

Actually the shift boot is just perpetrating staying put. It slides down. I looked over the boot in Ray's car yesterday and I am pretty sure the neck is smaller than the 2004. If yours doesn't stay in place that confirms it. It does sit about 3/4 inch lower than the Muz knob.

BTW anyone interested in a Muz knob?
