I'll probably get flamed here:
What the hell was that cop thinking??? Was he trying to ram the car? Did he not see the car? Is he color blind to the color orange? He may have had the right to give the driver a ticket, but the car was two-thirds across that intersection when the cop blatantly ran into the side of him! It's all right there on the film!
The cop should be sighted for wreckless driving as well IMO. Dumb, dumb dumb.

I don't even think that the driver was aware of the funeral caravan, funeral police are supposed to be ahead of the caravan, not 4 cars behind it and than he raced up to the intersection to block it

normally theres a couple guys on bikes and they play leap frog one blocks the next one while the other caches up to back the next and so on.
still this brings up a very good point on how society is so impatient that they cant take a few minutes out of there self indulged life to pay respects for someone and there family

I saw that the other night and had two thoughts:
1) wtf was that officer thinking? it looks from the tape like he wanted a collision; at the very least it seems like he could have avoided it
2) how fast was he going that he made the element roll? i didn't even know that was possible... guess that helps make the case for the safety of having lower center of gravity...

With out a doubt, the Element driver commited a crime, but it still doesn't justify what the hell that cop was doing. If he thought that his actions would better the situation, he was dead wrong. Better to let the car go and insure your caravan's safety than to be wreckless and cause more mourning than necessary.
Stupid.
Stupid.
