no you can't.
the top perch on a koni is slightly lower than the perch of a stock OE shock/strut.
i had kg/mm's and koni combo on my old car for 2 years...it was one of the best combos going...ride and handling were great (for a spring/shock combo)...ultimately went to full coilovers.
tried H&R's with the konis too....dumped them in 3 days....no stability in the spring.

That is exactly the feedback I was looking for on the H&R springs.
I have been trying to decide on Eibachs or H&R springs with the Koni sports shocks.
I am leaning toward the spring/shock combo for cost and convenience reasons, not to mention this seemed like the right approach since I don't do much track time, I don't have plans to change the height once I set the 1" drop and want the ride to be comfortable for street use.
Besides that, the coilovers on the Audi TT have been a nightmare to deal with, granted they are FK's and suck a$$, but the whole corner balancing thing to get the setup "just right" has me leaning toward a simpler spring/shock combo.
What's your opinion on this?
gary,
the KG/MM is a more aggressive spring towards the lower end of it's compression cycle....as such, the first bit of travel is similar to most other springs...thereby providing a fabulous ride - do a search and you will see a lot of positive feedback.
once you push it, it's quite rewarding.
only downside is that it's a 1.3" drop....not 1". so it'll be a more aggressive drop.
i'm sure all springs are progressive these days, but the H&R was just to bouncy and unstable....to the point where it seemed like it was a "linear" spring (not progressive).
the car used to bottom out a lot on fast undulations, and there was too much vertical travel over speedbumps...no matter how slow you went, the car would lift and drop violently.
i think they were just too soft for an S2000 application.
