I fully disagree. The dragon is a great place to go and enjoy some of the best scenic views in America. The place for testing your limits is at the controlled environment of a race track. Tennessee should not be picking up the tab for those of us in society who choose to knowingly violate the law just to save some money on doing something correctly. Also, there is no the support staff necessary to control two hundred cars at once. Even race tracks with numerous staff would not let that many cars out at one given time.

This overpatrolling of the Dragon is a shame, however, with all of the media, deaths, accidents, and general escallation of stupidity, I would take the same action if I was a law enforcement officer. Let's wait and see what happens when things settle down and people continue to do the speed limit, and not cross the yellow.

BTW, I saw this coming when I went there for my first and only time. To see a guy almost take you out because he was sideways drifting was enough to scare me off for good.

I'm pretty sure I know who that was....

and I'm not sure why people think that drifting the Dragon is a good idea...

^ this is nothing more than a knee jerk reaction. I'd control the area but not to the extend of what Killboy is witnessing lately.

I completely agree with u guys, i did not like when a car almost clipped me this past year as well, i will say it was a great place for me to learn how my car handles and how comfortable i am with it. But at no time would i ever "test the limits" on the dragon, my life is important but those around me are more important. I've lost 3 family members due to young, irresponsible, drivers! UGH!

First of all, I didn't mean pushing the car to the point where you aren't comfortable. I would like to rephrase my statement as a place to become a better driver and learn the tendencies of the car.

Mattfeet - You have PM.
