I was thinking more along the lines of Columbus Motorspeedway 3/8 mile oval slight banking and I'm sure very cheap this time of year

I have a few contacts I'll look into it

Popeye!

That would be great. I will be in need of new rear tires by spring so I can just run it and get a set when spring comes.

DO IT!

Ok I checked with one of the members of the Ohio Valley Region of the SCCA. He informed me that there will be a rull book issued for Drifting of which the SCCA is calling "Formula D"
It will be issued in January;the only way OVR will sanction an event is if the rules are followed

By sanctioning I mean paying for the lot and providing insurance;which is past on nominally to the people participating. The OVR board has "talked" about a Drift competition for 2005 but nothing is set. There is another board meeting befor Christmas and he promised me it will be finalized.

However be advised the SCCA Rule book will be inforced which means at the very least helmets, ect, similar to an autocross but may require more saftey equipment.

Remember if we do it legally, with no hassel from JOHNNY LAW then we'll have to follow this format

Drift rules link

Stay tuned~

SCCA rules?

a necessary evil in the pursuit of fun.

Remember these are the people that want to ban use of closed-face helmets in solo 2 because of airbag injury risk.

what about a winter mini autocross, we get all interested ohio members and adjacent states for an all s2000 autocross, if its dry and cold should not be a problem.

Today is a good day for drifting. Its raining outside. I just got back from lunch and did a little powerslide ( 5- 10 mph) in the lot before parking it. Honda made an awesome car!!! so raw, no traction control or stability managment. wheeee....

Popeye, I'm looking forward to an approval for a winter SCCA meet. Maybe don't even mention drifting, just say to rent it out for a winter SCCA practice day.

Wow, looking outside from the forth floor of my Easton Office building and the snow looks like fun. I see donut tire tracks in my parking lot, any have time to play in the snow with their S today?

Drifting? Oversteer? I would never dream of abusing my s2k in such a fashion. You people should be ashamed of yourselves!

...and I still have never dropped my clutch...

BWAHAHAH!

I didn't get any snow tires for my S. I have a winter car, I use my Integra GSR when the weather is bad.
