I am looking at getting a new exhaust system to replace my stock AP1 one. I have been looking around a bit and since cost is somewhat a factor, I have decided that I really like the Invidia N1. Now, I would be foolish to go with it without first considering others and since I dont really know much about any of them, I was hoping people could share a little insight on what is a good and bad idea.

So, my question is what is a good exhaust system to buy (looking for mostly sound and not too worried about power gains) and also what quality are they?

Also, how easy would it be to do it myself (with a little help) if I have not much experience working on cars?

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Lots of choices, try to head out to a s2k meet and give a listen. Invidia may be just what you are looking for but the general consensus usually the same - loud.

 

Comptech..... great sound!

Not too loud..... deep sounding..... doesn't drive you too nuts with the top up....

 

Best thing to do is to go to a event or meet, and just listen to all the different exhausts...

Anyone with one, will be willing to crank up a few revs and let you hear the sound!

Invidia is looouuuudddd...

 

When flowing someone with an invidia I couldn't hear the person in my car without them shouting.

 

Since the N1 is so loud, what about the V4?
