Default Gift of life....

I received a phone call from friend of mine. She says she found five new born kittens outside of her apartment. Mother just gave birth to them but disappeared and all of them were shivering and crying outside overnight .

One little male kitten passed away this afternoon. Then tonight we lost a female kitten. Two of the remaining three are doing well but I am afraid that we may lose another male kitten overnight. I was getting chocked up just looking at these helpless kittens.

Found out, they need to be kept in temperature around 88-92 degree at all time. We were trying to keep them warm using warm bottle of water inside of the cage but it didn't seem to last too long. Well, I decided that we place small electric seat warmer at the bottom of the cage. BTW, I think it is working well finally. I see kittens moving less but resting peacefully.

I always wanted a puppy, Boston Terrier maybe but always worried that I wouldn't be able to spend enough time to house train them. Well, it appears that I may be getting a cat afterall. Plan is to keep them together until they finally open their eyes and move well around on their own.

Holding them in your hand will melt your heart. They are just incredibly adorable.
God bless them.

How are you feeding them ? They may have died because they are not getting "mother's milk"....and you could potentinally lose the rest.

My suggestion is go find a cat to milk ..Focker

I had to take care of a small kitten once. To get it to pee, we had to run warm water over its belly.

And then it was peanut butter jelly time...

She got the baby kitten formula right away from PetsMart. We have been feeding them the right kind that was recommended by a vet. Will report back with news.

Just so I understand, the Humane Society refused to let you bring in a litter of kittens? I have Janice on the phone now who says to bring them in. Are you sure you called the correct agency. Please repond with a "negative or positive".
