The Hard Part...
I thought having my S2000 under cover during the winter was going to be tough. But I think the thing that will drive me the most crazy will be the 1st 60 degree day where there is still salt on the road. The weather will have me chomping at the bit to take her out, but noooooooo. Perhaps I need to hire a scientist to perform surface analysis on the roadway to test for the absence of any residual salt debris.
Or you could take it out on the road, then bring it back an give her a good wash and undercarriage spray down! Both the drive and the care and feeding should make for an enjoyable weekend! I'm stir crazy too.
I'm thinking of heading out to the garage today to start the 'wake-up' process - get rid of the interior mothballs, maybe trickle a drop or two of oil into the cylinders to let it work its way down the rings for the next couple weeks while I wait for the real spring weather to get here, roll her a couple inches forward fo rthe tires, and maybe even reinstall the battery. I want to be ready when a real opportunity presents itself!
Not as good as a drive, but I think it will help......

I can appreciate all the TLC you guys show your babies.
HOWEVER, go ahead... get crazy
and drive those li'l beasts! I promise you those cars won't rot! I've been station in/on Okinawa. If the salt air there doesn't tear down a car, a little salt here won't hurt!
You can do it. You can do it awlllllll nighttttt longgggggggg!

Probably went to the garage a dozen times today, trying to figure out weather or not to go for a ride. I'm with Carmen, still too much salt out there for me, and I can't wash it when I'm done.
WON'T BE LONG NOW!!!!!!!!
WON'T BE LONG NOW!!!!!!!!
I had mine out today!!!!! With the top down. Felt like the 1st day I brought it home. I drove it like I was on rt26 and had it sideways a few times!! Got about an hours worth in today and still had time to rinse out the garage and I even had time and the warmth to put a coat of wax on. Now it is raining and the weather will be lousy this week. But I tell you what, I sure feel a hell of a lot better now.

Good for you, David. Let this be a lesson to all. The world is not flat!
Couldn't resist, guys. After I got off work, I had "Princess" out topless!
Tonneau cover on.
I just ask myself what would be the bigger tragedy: Getting a little rust on a car or missing a moment like this:
I think I know what my Dad would say if he were still alive: "Live every day to the fullest, you never know how many you've got left."
