let us know what sort of timeline they give you on the repairs. i'm sure you are in no hurry to get it back (although, you did mention it was your daily driver)....
best of luck..i'm sure they will get her back to you like it walked off the showroom floor!

Ok got an estimate today from the Crestview(Immke) Body Shop.

They are trying to charge me $501 for one headlight assembly unit and $300 for front bumper. That is alot more than what they go for. Also they are charging me $479 for the OEM alloy wheel.

I think they are trying to zip me on this and they are charging 20hours of labor for painting for bumper, and side fender each.

Just doesn't make sense.

I will be taking the car out of Immke lot if they think they can charge all these to my insurance company. Does anyone know anyother place where they do fine bodywork on Honda for reasonable price?

Please let me know.

The hours are about right for all the paint work. Also keep in mind as a rule of thumb, any bumper costs about 300 to 400 bucks to paint. Any panel 400 to 600 bucks. Also, are they blending the paint? If they are doing the fenders, they will need to blend into the doors and re-clear to do it right. All the time that the car sits in the booth for paint and cure is also figured in to the time. Also, they will charge full list for everything. The insurance company will work on the price through negotiated rates. When I had my shop, mechanical repair, I would do the same with extended warranty companies.

This is why even 5 MPH impacts cost two to three grand on average. At least you do not have to replace a door, the cost on that would give you a stroke!!

Ok, its been little over 3 weeks since my car was in an accident. Immke Honda(Crestview Cadillac) still has my car. About a week ago, they were going to replace tie rod and steering column.

I am having major withdrawl! I am generally unhappy nowadays! I need to drive my S! RIGHT NOW!!!

I knew the steering column or tie rod was broken. Good thing is they didn't see any suspension or frame damage.
I guess, I hit the curb hard enough.

Once the car gets fixed, I really need to plan for next auto-x season. I know nothing about this car, let alone how to drive it properly.

I am so used to FWD cars. Those cars, I can push it to the max pretty much.
