Default Hondata

Anyone with an 06+ have Hondata or have any thoughts on it?

I am interested in doing the Hondata tuned for and paired with Toda headers, which will allow vtec engagement at 4200 rpms under full throttle.

Any consensus or ideas as to how this will affect long-term reliability? This would go on a daily driven car that sees at least 12k-15k miles per year.

Any input would be welcome and appreciated! Thanks.

That's going where no one has been before. It's all pretty new. I don't think anyone knows about long term.

^ That's a little scary. To expand my inquiry, is anyone familiar with the long-term effects of hondata on other honda or acura products in general?

I've asked the same questions of SlowMotion, which told me they're one of the largest hondata retailers and therefore can get it done for $500 instead of the standard $595... I'll post up their response when I hear back...

I think this similar to "chipping" your old GTI.

I can tell you that Doug at Hondata is genius (or close to it). He's done a tone of tuning on our race cars, and they all run great (although the motors don't see 10,000 street miles a year). If you need more help, you may want to ask the TSX forums, because they've had a similar reflash for a couple more years than the S2000.
