Here in California gas is a bit higher. I paid $2.379 today for 87 octane for my Accord. I guess it could be worse. In Gorda just south of Big Sur, 87 is going for $3.799. The next closest station to Gorda is about 40 miles.

I am not sure if the road is clear all of the way from Monterey to San Luis Obispo. Every year during the rains the hillsides collapse onto the road. I believe this year wasn't as bad as usual, specially since we had more rain than usual.
