Well after selling my 06 GPW 4 years ago, to pursue cycling, I just could not stay away. Picking up my new 01 SS tomorrow! This will not be my low mile unicorn, but will be a car I don't mind having fun with on the track or god forbid a nice winter day. Can't wait to join you guys at some meets, maybe mid-Ohio IRL again?

What made you not cycle anymore?

 

Mocky, I will still ride, just not competitively. I took things to a pretty high level on the road and more recently off road. I had the privilege to line up with some pretty talented dudes. It starts to take a ton of commitment when your racing with guys who for them racing is their job. For me, I have a daughter, wife, and career, so I made a lot of sacrifices (I.e. selling my s2k), to make it work. At some point when you can say that the sacrifice isn't worth the potential reward, it is time to be done. That is where I was, so flip flops and beach cruisers for me!!!

Well picked her up today, almost stopped by the mod day in Akron, but I had to get home. The car is perfect, just what I expected, much thanks to Dave (aka Smokeyrabbit)!!! I am posting up a few extra things that I don't have a need for as well as some take offs that I am removing to make her my own. Let me know if you have any interest in anything that I am posting up.

On another note, this is the first time that I have logged on a cp since I sold my last one and it seems I am missing badges (slayed the dragon, Ohio, and wash/wax). Any help here?
