Impromptu Drives
The purpose of this "permanent" thread is for you to post any impromptu drives you plan to take and want to invite others too. Post the details here. I encourage everyone to check here if you have a hankering to go out.
Having this one location will give everyone a central location to scan for any last minute or even "somewhat" planned drives and get-togethers. This should save you from looking all over the place for any of these. Don't be discouraged if you post that you're going out and no one replies. Keep posting. There are some people here who are always ready to drive, time permitting. Happy motoring.

Allow me to break this in.
Friday morning, we're driving the Cleveland Metroparks starting at Rocky River Basin. We're planning to leave about 9:00 so we can beat the crowd of picnickers. We're planning to drive to Brecksville, which is about an hours drive.
There's a small restaurant about 2.5 mi. south of the park on Brecksville Rd. called the Richfield Family Restaurant, where we're planning to get some breakfast. That puts us right at I-77 or the turnpike for easy return to our respective starting points.
Any interest?

Anyone not familiar w/ the Rocky River Basin, the actual starting address is: Emerald Necklace Marina, 1500 Scenic Park Dr., Lakewood, OH.
It is easily accessed from I-90 at the Hilliard Blvd/Rocky River exit.
East on Hilliard to Wooster Rd., left on Wooster Rd. to Detroit, right on Detroit across the bridge, first right immediately after the bridge, down into the valley, first drive on the right into the parking/picnic/marina area.

Hello mistery man,
I was planning on taking my daily ride tonight, we can meet up, time is about right. I will PM my cell #. Any suggested meeting points, if not how about NE parking lot of the Chagrin River Polo field, 3oo yards est of intersection of Chagrin River Road and Chagrin Blvd. I drive a Silver Boxter S.

Not to confuse the two proposals for a ride, the above response was meant to respond to Mocky57. I guess I am still trying to figure out this "thing" here called computer messaging.
