Early on Friday:
At this time in the photo above, things were going well and progressing, slowly.
As the day passed, Dee Dee did strong work with the labor and received much support from me and from our doula (aka labor coach as seen the photos below).
After 22 hours of labor, mom really did some great and hard work, but Zach was not dropping down. We decided that in order to meet our goal of a healthy baby, it was time for the C-section.
So, I put on the scrubs and got ready.
Once they did the prep, the procedure went FAST! (about 10 minutes)

As you parents out there know, what an incredible, amazing and unforgettable experience this is.
I'm happy to report that mom and baby are doing great tonight, both sleeping well.
