Default mid-ohio high performance class

I decided after my wreck that I was in need of a driver mod so I'm taking the 1 day acura high performance course june 8th. Has anyone else done this? I was wondering just kind of what to expect and also was wondering what I should do (if anything) to prep my car for it. I imagine I'm going to put some serious wear and tear on brakes and tires at the least...

any thoughts?

I did it in 2002. Its well worth it. Check your ego at the door and keep an open mind. Take the second day if you have the cash, too. Bring your own helmet if you have one.

Loved it. Use their cars, not yours.

Sounds like fun. If you use your their car, isn't a TSX with A-spec suspension? and don't you get a little time at the end in their S2000?

I'm thinking of doing this too, but have been debating whether it would be as fun in the TSX, and if what you learn will translate to a rear-drive car?

I did the course in an RSX-S and had a blast.

i'm leaning towards using my S so I learn the limits on it.. AP1 no traction ctrl, its my first rwd car, already one accident from losing the rear on a curve...

i can't imagine a tsx with the aspec suspension is going to handle the same way, even if 90% of the lessons learned would apply to the S. plus... if i'm taking a car out on a track end of day... i want it to be my S

also fyi on 2 of the available days (the june 8th and one other) they're giving a 15% discount just cause its their 15yr anniversary or something. Very nice discount for doin nothing...

Why not just do a track day with an instructor?

I plan on doing one of the Mid-Ohio courses this year so I don't ruin my "new" AP1, my first RWD car. The June course seems as good as any if there's still room--my BD is shortly thereafter and that would make a perfect birthday present. I'm also interested in trying one of their S2Ks at the end of the day, as is advertised.

So you guys recommend using their cars? How can the FWD TSX help me to drive my RWD S? I honestly don't know, so am asking.

And last, where can I get a decent helmet if I have to bring my own?

Can't wait!

PS what's a DE day?
