Default It Must Be Nearly Time...

Well, it must be about time for my MY04 to come in. Why do you ask?

Is it because I got a phone call with the VIN? No.
Is it because I have ESP and can tell you where it is? No.

Why? Because we just got our first bit of snow yesterday. Fock Northwest Ohio.

If all the evil in the universe hates me (and I'm pretty sure it does), there'll be a foot of snow on the ground when my S2K comes in. Grrr.

Look at it this way, the carrier will probably come through a snow storm for you. I got mine in December of 01 and there was no salt on the roads yet. It also came by covered truck.

It'll be like an epic battle of good versus evil. Classic heoric mailman battle of the elements. Something you'd see a made for television movie out of.

Think anyone would watch it?

The last two weekends I have had to travel to cleveland and found that they are already salting the highways

No snow to be seen

No wonder the roads are horrible. Why wait till nov ..... start salting in August to beat the Christmas rush

I find that kinda hard to believe. You Clevelanders know how to handle yourself on snow, I figured they waited until after there was some to start.

Now Cincinnati is a different example.

Carmen, it was on 71 N above the 271 interchange I believe. They have a sprayer now that leaves tracks on the road. Not actually hard salt, more of a brine treatment, but salt nonetheless. I could not believe it a couple weeks ago. It is especially prevalent on bridges.

Carmen, we actually drove thru some of that salt brine(mixture of salt and molasses that leaves 8 dark strips on the road) on our drive on the 8th. I believe it was on Rt. 8
