Default My lucky(not so much) summer

So i thought i would just let you guys know why Ive been MIA all summer, at the beginning of summer i had a some car trouble to say the least, i spun a bearing which sucked but at least something manageable. Me, my father, and uncle worked on my car, did the repairs and got the car up and running again.

two days later after using the car again i received a major knock in the engine and was horrified i had messed up something in the repair, the answer was i must have because once opening the engine there was major damage including cracked block, shattered piston rod, ect ect. this was a devastating blow and i didn't know whether i was going to be keeping the car after this point. i decided i couldn't part with the car so i began saving up money, last week i purchased a 2005 2.2L engine with 40k miles on it

yesterday i have successfully removed the old engine and will begin to put the new engine in first, Im sad to have missed so much this summer with everyone including my car. lets hope for better luck from here on out.

on a side note, i was thinking i might as well replace the clutch now , the current one isn't horrible but it does show some signs of wear and i would rather just get it out of the way, so anyone have any recommendation or preferences to clutches?

Not to be a jackass;but buying a used clutch, IMHO is like buying used brake pads or oil. It's a wear item and should be discarded after usage

Not being a jackass at all Steve..I offered it to him the clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel as an option to try out. It's not that it's going to cost him anything, I just wanted to give him another option to try out
