It was fun seeing most of you. Had a great time. Very well organized event. Thoses guys worked their butts off. Jeff and Joe are top notch. I think they slept 30 minutes the entire event. Saw Joe in the elevator one morning and he looked like Strangedaze coming back from the "Poon" bar. I learned some cool things about our car from them, especially how to drive it better. The class sessions were very helpful. Safety was stressed and the track workers were 1st class people. Thanks to Chase, I now can hit a double Apex! Hope we go back there next year. Joe King and his co-workers were all over the place shooting video and taking pics. I can't wait to see the finished product. Those guys did not sleep either. It was nice to finally meet some of you for the first time. Gary's wife was very kind to us. She hauled us around in the S4 and even pitched a tent for our junk at the track! Your a lucky many MRCLEAN. (Stop pushing her for the Mini-Cooper!) Even though Chase snored like an Invidia with silencers out, I guess I should be happy that I did not have to spoon with Mocky like Joe did.
Glad Andy got to make it, we'll deal with his boss at a later time. (The I.A.A. takes care of their own!) Brian from Cincy ditched us for Poon...but that's ok. You go boy! The Indy guys were fun. Except they kept trying to pick up the crack whore waitress at Longhorn. Everyone wants to be Strangdaze I guess. Anyway, thanks to everyone. Nice hanging out with you all...even DAVE! Here are some pics.
I loved it. Should have signed up for both sessions. Maybe next year. Chase was a great instructor. I think I scared him a few times. He got me back later when he spun out in turn 4. aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! You guys who were instructors worked your butts off, we Novice folk appreciate it.
The track brought back memories of when I used to do this often. The S is a great track car and a hoot to slide around and experiment with(right Joe and Mocky)! Now I need to do some serious maintainance. Brakes feel glazed big time, had the rear ones smoking in the pits. The rear tires are worn down to the carcase and cord is probably only a few mile away. No wonder it was really loose on the last session!
We should have a get together at my place to watch the video I took since there are 2 tapes worth. Lots of in car track footage and action with a spin in front of me but not my almost spin.
You shown me that video. It was awesome. Watching that S2000 sliding across the field. Thank God for plenty of run off areas. I saw 2 cars sliding in the morning and 2 more later in the afternoon and watched on guy blowing his engine in between turn 10-11. Poor guy was from Massachusettes too.
but does anyone know what the hell happened to Macke?? (saab).... he drove 1.5 hrs to pick up his ex for a booty call before dinner on Saturday... and was never seen again!!
