A new guy saying hello and some help in finding a nice S2000!
Hey all! My name is Tom and I live just north of Columbus (Lewis Center). I don't have an S just yet, but as soon as I sell my Prelude I will be buying a used Gran Prix White (just dunno from where yet, still looking around). But I wanted to say hey and hope to be meeting some/all of you soon!
Oh yeah, if anyone here wants to point me in the direction of a nice 2000-2001 in white, please let me know! I've seen the one at Immke (don't really like) and one at the Marion Honda/Acura dealership (a good possibility). Also, if you know anyone who wants to buy a beautiful 2000 Prelude, please let me know! I want to get my S in time for Spring!

Welcome Tom,
We'll probably see you around after you get your S2000. We usually have several drives for the folks in the Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana areas. We usually have a drive in Cincinatti in the spring. The last two years it has been on the same day as the March of Dimes walk/run. We meet across the river at the Hooter's parking lot.
There aren't too many GPW's around. Good luck with your search,
Bob

Thanks guys! I'm still waiting to get the Prelude sold, but I've already been up to Marion and saw/drove the white 2000 they had there. I have a good friend who used to own an S2000 who's bought a lot of cars from Jim so that's who I went to as well. I'll be contacting Ganely sometime soon, probably as soon as I get my Prelude sold.

Tom,
Immke Honda has a pre-owned, certified White/Red 2002 S2000 with the Honda Extended warranty (7years/100k miles). Also, they have special financing on their certified pre-owned Hondas (3.9% for 60 months). The car had 25k miles on it. They were asking like $25,000. However, I could tell they really wanted to deal and that was more than a month ago. I liked the car and almost bought it, but wanted the silverstone and decided the 04 was worth the price difference.
Anyway, here are the things I noticed that may be important to you:
1) The car had new tires, but they were non-oem (Daytona was the brand I believe). That was my number one gripe.
2) Couple normal wear and tear marks on the front facia and around the car, nothing that I considered deal-breaking or excessive.
3) The car ran well and felt very strong, probably the fastest of the 4 other 00-03 S2k's I test drove the same day.
4) Wheels need some major cleaning.
5) Car has potential, but the paint needs to be rubbed out and general TLC.
6) Interior was in good shape overall.
I'd offer them $24,000 and go no higher than $24,300.
