Default the perfect oil

Hey all! I wanted to pass some valuable info onto you guys concerning oil. I have found through research and numerous sources that the best oil for small displacement high reving motors is Royal Purple. The international miata site, Racing Beat, has found through actual dyno tests that Royal Purple yielded a 2-5% power gain. I have confirmed this by talking to reputable tuner friends of mine that have found this to be true also. I myself changed to royal purple when i owned my twin turbo supra and found that i boosted higher without changing the settings on my boost controller. I will be changing to it on my S when i get about a thousand miles on the car.

You might want to read your manual about changing to synthetic. It states that you should keep the original oil in your engine until 7500 miles (normal driving) or 3750 (for severe driving) and not to change to synthetic until about 10K miles. You might be doing a great disservice to your engine.

Very true. Using synthetic too early will seriously affect a proper break-in. I would wait till all oil consumption ceases.

Hmmm. I have not heard of this oil. You may want to post this on the main board and see what the "experts" have to say.

Not me. I am not a gear head. I can barely remember how many tires are on the car
