Default Prepping the S for winter

My boss has had his Miata for 12 years now, He gave me some pointers on how he preps his car for the winter. This is he first year I will not be driving the car in the winter. As always, I value your opinions and ideas. Here is what I know so far:

Unlatch the soft top. Saves the rubber ?
Crack the windows. Saves the rubber?
Remove battery?
Dryer sheets in pipes and other areas to keep mice out.
Chase puts his car on Jack stands to avoid flat spots in tires or...
My boss inflates his tires to 40 -45 PSI to avoid flat spot in tires.
what else?

Sta-bil - fuel stabilizer and a cup of baking soda on the floor to eliminate condensation in the interior.

and i asked once about the latch the top or not latch the top. i guess if the car is in a cover, then unlatch..but if it's not, latch it... keeps animals out..
(at least that's what i was told...)

Bring it over to my place, I will STORE it for you

I would keep the top down so that the fabric is not being stretched for an extended period of time.

Remove the battery? I think there's no need.

Leave as little gas in the tank as possible so that when next year comes, you won
