Hello my fellow Ohioans, I had a question. I'm not too savvy on meets or events, because I've never attended one. I've also never autocrossed, nor have I attended one. The most I've ever experienced was a day at Kilkare in my Integra.

Is there a schedule for semi-local autocross meets somewhere? I know OF Wake the Dragon 07 but I've never actually been to a meet (just seen pictures), and unfortunately I won't be able to attend that because I work a weekend shift schedule.

Where would a newb find more info on this stuff? I've read the sticky thread up top but it's not too informative for someone whose never done this.

There is also a s2k/other honda/acura mod day at marysville honda on the 31st.

 

If your looking for actual car meet Friday/Saturday or random weekly meets all of us on slowmotionmotorsports.com meet up all the time. And also Columbus racing is good for track events and such. And in the summers there is allways two or three locations we meet at...

 

We are having a lunch & drive here in the Cincy area on Sunday March 25th. We are meeting @ Smoky Bones, St.Rt.125, 1/2 mile West of I-275. 12:00Noon. They are located right next door to Honda East. You are more than welcome to attend.....

Now that I accidentally spun my S into a curb (thanks to some heavy gravel that no one ever sweeps and RWD inexperience) I think I'll stick to meets till I can round some courage back up.

 

Did you get your ride fixed ?

 

I would recomend an OVR school, then some autocrossing. All autocrossing is done on an open parking lot, where your greatest fear is hitting a cone. The school will help teach the basics, and provide you with a day or two of closed course lessons. Also, the OVR S2000 drivers are extremely friendly, and helpful, as well as the rest of the crew at the events.
