Ok, a "Ray Moment"= Wrong tires on Car (Porsche),
Focked up body shop encounter (crooked front bumper, cracked front end),
Oil Change Mishap (left my synthetic in the car),
breaking bolt off the exhaust ,
wheel scuff on curb.
Stalled at Redlight and could not start car because I was pushing the stereo button.
Blew out speakers (under warranty) 3 times because cross over was wrong
You get the picture. So when you have a Ray Moment....be a man, put it in this thread.

By the way, Rich (Ubetit), I believe you have something to tell the group.

 

Ray moment. Left the 7/8ths wind deflector down yesterday, lowered the top, and took quite a while to figure out why it wouldn't stay down. Finally while watching it squeeze down then pop up again, saw the wind deflector in it. At least it didn't break.

-went to remove oem emblems to put on Ricks emblems....well, the adhesive remover ate the clearcoat....hence the shaved emblems

I haven't had a "Ray" moment with the S2000 but I have had them in other cars

 

traffic light, stalled, tried to get the car to start... kept pushing the button..nothing happened...then realized i was pushing the wrong button..

Ok remember this was 25+ years ago........

I had a 73 SS350 Chevelle and used to race it @ Dragway 42 on Sundays(I lived in Canton at the time) First round of eliminations,I do my burnout,pull up to stage carefully.

The lights come down ,I release the clutch on the last yellow and nothing..........the engine is screaming ..........the car isn't moving.

The guy in the other lane is already 100ft past the christmas tree when I realize the trans in in neutral. So I quickly throw it in gear and stall the car 3ft past the start line ......

Now I am pissed;I fire it up and just take it easy the rest of the way down running about 3/4 throttle. I drive past and got the ET slip from the guy who hands it to me and says "a win is a win"

I'm so mad at myself for doing such a rookie dumbass thing. I just idle thru the pits and out the gate for the hour and a half trip back home. Usually I'll sit in the stands and watch the rest of the race.

Well I get home and start to clean the car;while I'm pulling all my time-trial slips out of the glove box I notice the 1st round slip says "winner" in the lane I ran in.

WTF?????? here the guy in the other lane red-lighted and I had won the round

I had driven home after winning the round thinking I had lost


I didn't go back for two weeks after that one......
