Got the GM Syncromesh and put it in this afternoon. Was going to go for a spin but it started to drizzle. I will report on the trans later or tomorrow.

The GM Syncromesh seems to have done the trick. I would put this in every S2000. Shifts easier than new if you can believe that.
This is very easy to do. It took longer to get the car up on 4 jack stands and level than the actual proceedure took. Have checked it on the highway, but no grinds around town from 4th o 6th as I had in the past few days.

I've heard some people say that simply putting fresh Honda MTF in will make an immediate improvement in feel, too. I'm going to pick some up, hopefully this week and I'll let you guys know how it feels. But just to reiterate, I'm not having any consistent grinds and in fact haven't had the 2nd gear grind since back in 2002.

Hello all, don't ever use Redline trans oil !!! Three of us tried it and it causes very bad wear and tear After draining out the trans oil there were hugh clunks of metals on the oil bolt, and during use, the gear grinds like hell, and I was having difficulty getting the gear in first ! ANd it would just disengage when in first, if you dont push it and ensure it is all the way in. Initially, after the first oil change, it feels great, and after less than a thousands km, these problems started coming in. I gave it a second chance, and tried it once more, and it got worse. Now I am using Shell trans oil (not the over-the-counter ones) recommend by a WRX specialist and it works work ! No more grinds and the gears are very smooth. I can find out the name if anyone is interested.

I'm not sure that is correct. I've seen numerous reports of others using Redline in the transmission with zero problems.

That said, I'm not interested in using anything but Honda MTF in mine. I don't have any major problems right now and with the delicate nature of our transmission, I have no reason to risk at least not while I still have a warranty.

I have used Redline trans and axle fluids in past cars with no problems. The Only reason I went with the GM stuff is because I could get it "right now".

The Acura NSX guys have been using MT-90 for years with no issues.
