Default Ridgeline

I am looking at buying either an 08 or 09 Ridgeline. Have been stuck between that and a new Toyota Tundra. Visually, I like the Tundra better, but think I will get more bang for the buck out of a Ridgeline. Went to the autoshow today and looked at them both up close. Found a used 08 Ridgeline RTL on the way there and am really close to buying it instead of an 09. I know there are some on this site who own a Ridgeline and am just looking for some input either way to push me one direction or the other. I currently drive an F150. Thanks.

I have an RTL Navi 07. I love it. I tow with it regularly (sometimes over twice its rated limit) without any problems. It's off road with me quite a bit as well, probably not the target market Navi owner, but it makes a fine work truck for me.

Gas mileage is ok, for what it is. I average about 260 to 320 miles on a tank, 18 to 19 gallon fill up. You won't regret it.

For what it's worth, we have an 07 Tundra for towing at work. It's on it's second transmission, and that's from towing a 20 ft searay. I'm not impressed with it.

Ok let me rephrase

.....if you're not hauling 10000 lbs of equipment everyday to and from a jobsite

........if you need a truck to haul some mulch or furniture

..........if you need a truck that can go anywhere but Siberia or the surface of the Moon

..........if you want a truck with decent resale value

.........if you want a truck that doen't ride like a truck

Ridgeline

Um, ok. Was just not sure about the towing claims. There are websites dedicated to the towing failure that is the "tundra". And being an owner/operator, can attest to the recall hassles of said failure of a vehicle. kthxbye.

My mechanic had told me that he sees a lot of toyota trucks with bad transmissions. I had also considered the tacoma, but just felt too cramped in it.

I get a 06+ range rover sport supercharge. considering a 09 a fully loaded ridgeline is pushing 36 plus. But than again if reliability is a must I get the honda.

Good luck with purchase, be sweet to trailer the S2000 with a ridgeline.

I've got a picture of My S on a trailer, behind my Ridgeline, with my CBR 600RR in the bed.

New Ridge's fully loaded can be had under 30k. I bought mine new, in 07 when there was no "economy woes" yet, and I paid 28.5k.

Looking at the 08 with under 7k. It is the rtl version, minus the navigation, which I don't need. I still own a road map. They are asking 28k, but it was a trade, so I figure there is some room to negotiate.
