Service Saga
It sounds like you have discovered the sheer lack of quality that many Honda dealers proudly provide to their customers. It's not because they want to do this its just simply a lack of quality control and follow up within the dealer.
You have also found the reason that I drive from Nashville to Cleveland Ohio to visit Ganely Honda. They do great work and respect not only the customer but the car as well. If you are within a resonable distance of Cleveland I would suggest making the change.
Also the gas smell could be stuck in the cabin air filter. You may want to request that they change this as well.

Some dealers just don't get it. I think I, myself would be done with that dealer and would not even let them "detail the car". I would forward a letter off to the owner of the dealership and if that gets no reply fire one off to the area zone manager. You are lucky there was no fire in the engine compartment do to the incompetince of the so-called tech. I would at least replace the cabin air filter and detail it yourself.
Too bad you are coming to Fall Colors or I would help detail it for you. Sorry I don't have any experience with dealers in Cincinnatti but Ganley in Cleveland is the best
Sorry to hear about your issues. I am glad you posted all of this, maybe now I won't get poked fun of for writing my" body shop" and "porsche tire" stories!...yeah right. btw,Go to Ganley.
Since it's not real practical for me to drive 4 hours for service, anyone in the Cincinnati area have better luck with a different dealer -- Wyler? Superior? Performance?
Once it's out of warranty I'll likely not go to a dealer.
Thanks.
