Default Some interesting pics

I was in Las Vegas a few weeks ago and took a helicopter tour, Hoover Dam out to Grand Canyon then back over Lake Mead. I've been out to Vegas more times than I can count, always business-related. I can only take the strip for about a day and always wanted to do this. It was awesome, the only thing I would have done differently is to actually land in the canyon. If anyone ever heads out there and has the inclination, I would absolutely recommend.

Awsome shots. I wanted to take the damn helicopter ride.
The one time i've been out there, was during the time when they stopped giving damn tours inside the Hoover damn.

This is something I would really like to do as well. Was it expensive?

In the last pic, is that red smoke? Was the Mirage still on fire?

The cost was about $350 per person. Initially, I thought this was high but after doing it, it was well worth it. That included everything, transportation from hotel, tip. Copter can carry 6+pilot. The only thing I would do different is land in the canyon, that was another $20 per person. We were in the air about an hour, the entire thing took about 2 hours, door to door.

The fire broke out the day after this photo was taken, I think it was the Monte Carlo.

For $350 you could have rented one of these and driven out to the damn dam.

That's funny Ray, one of the things on the list was renting a couple go-fast cars and burning up some fossil fuel, quickly. Another one was heading out to a shooting range and letting the lead fly, full auto style. In the end, the copter won out, as most us never saw the Grand Canyon. As I said, expensive but in 20+ trips out there, I've only gambled like $50 total so this was a way for me increase my contribution to sin city's economy.
