Cool Spaced Out!

What a difference 13 mm makes with the appearance!
(That's what *she* said)

My rear wheels needed a little push, outward.

I have 9.5" width wheels with a +46mm ET.

The 5 mm Porsche spacers just weren't giving the car the stance I wanted. The wheels look tucked in too much.

I decided to put some 18 mm H&R spacers on this past week and voila! Perfect stance that gives the car a more purposeful and aggressive look.

So, when in doubt... SPACE IT!

Not a fan of wheel spacers on any application,my concern would be the tensile strength of the studs and where or not that has been compromised by the new tortional forces now at work

I know this is a popular mod with Euro apps but I ,myself would rather see a change in wheel offset to achieve a "look" and can appreciate the fact that sometimes this is not possible with some suspension issues offered on some makes

BTW I seen Baer billet aluminum spacers shattered that were once installed on NASA Mustangs.......amazing what some people try to pass off as warranty

I can actually see the difference, especially around the top of the tire. Did you do front and rear?

9 times out of ten, new studs are used that are made to work with a spacer, but I have also heard that it puts more stress on the wheel bearings (won't lower offset wheels do this as well????)

Im considering a set of spacers for the M.

They are not allowed in NHRA competition; I have a PDF file of the 2009 SCCA GCR and I'll read thru it to find out if they're allowed there

.....none of which answers your question;but if they're not allowed in competition why would anyone want them on the street

I guess a counterpoint would be that major manufacturers like Baer Brakes would not make them if they feared a lawsuit

If you feel the need to run spacers do so but inspect they twice a year for cracks and after every event if you track the car

I ,myself will never have a set on anything I own
