Default Tein S-techs:Before and After

Hello again guys. I was asked to post my thoughts on the Tein S-techs when I put them on. Well, they're on now...so here I go. It's a subtle drop that changed things about an inch. So that much is confirmed. Look wise, I think it looks much nicer than OEM. There is a slight notice in the stiffness of the ride. It's not OEM smooth anymore, but it's not as ridged as some of the more aggressive coilovers or springs I've rode on either. (Translation: All my fillings are still in intact.) It's a nice neutral balance between being soft enough to stay somewhat comfortable, yet gain in looks and perhaps handling. It stands to make sense that the claims of increased fuel economy would come along with being a little lower, and a little stiffer. I'm sure I get on the throttle a little too much to ever really notice that. I've only logged about 15 miles on them so far. So I haven't really had a chance to push it in the corners yet. But based on the casual spirited driving I did, I'm already pleased with the results. It's right where I wanted to be. Next up is an alignment.

Edit: P.S. I can still safely get into and out of my driveway without scraping on the curb. And it's a fairly significant curb, that you may be able to make out in the pics, given the fact that the driveway runs downhill toward it, and the street angles up at the end of it. So that's a big plus and one of the handful of reasons I'm not interested in going any lower.

Here's some before and after pics:

Right on. Thanks guys. Loving it so far. So happy I decided to get the S2K over a couple other cars. Can't imagine a better buy for my buck. Seems like you guys have a nice little local community in the area too. Makes it all the better.

P.S. Hope some of you guys got to enjoy those S2K's on this beautiful day. I myself get to work the weekend away. So no driving for me.

looks great, love the subtle drop. makes me want to raise mine up just a tad.

i have s-techs on my daily and are pretty decent performing springs, they WILL sag over time. nothing crazy or durastic though. so expect that.

Perhaps. Although These already had two years and 25k miles on them. So I think they may stay where they are.
