Default Thanks, Carmen

Thanks for organizing this wonderful drive. I know that organizing something like this, and making it come off this well, requires significant effort. This is the second of these that I've been lucky enough to attend, and I look forward to more.

Kudos on another excellent job.

(My return trip on SR 555 was disappointing. The road winds, twist, and goes up and down, but it is just plain too narrow. It would be great on a sport bike, but IMHO it's too narrow for fun driving in a car.)

I agree completely! The trip went off as well as could be considering what mother nature had left for us!!! Great people, great times, let's do it again!

Three cheers for Carmen! He came through with the weather, too! Fantastic!

We were down to 4 cars leaving Marietta - Carmen, myself, Carlos and Sam (Motoo and Joe were just waking up). We picked an alternate route to Woodsfield (from I-77 we took the first exit on Rt. 821 , up to 145, then 78 East), then back up 26. It was a fantastic drive - not as overall twisty, but fast and clean and most importantly - DRY!

Thanks also to Looter (Denny) for the magnetic badges. They look great!

Haha, not true at all. I was up at 8:00 AM (and Motoo was semi-conscious) and watched the Formula 1 race live on Speed while posting a bit on the board.

Good to hear the drive back up was drier than the day before! I left so late I just hopped on 77 to 70 and home. The pounding in my head wouldn't have enjoyed any twisties...

Denny's badges rock...

I'd gotten a similar badge at Fall Colors '03 and was too dumb to realize that it could be displayed on the car. That one's holding something on the front of my refrigerator...

Her brother asked her what the top speed for the trip was. She said " I saw him doing 87 MPH". Then she asked me if that was the fastest......I said "uh huh, yep."....

We were doing 87mph on the on ramp! I think we hit 102mph on Rte 26...I think. Carmen, I was following you, do you remember?
